About Me

Hi! I'm Carrie! I live in a typical mid-size Midwest town, meaning I am surrounded by farms, a cute downtown area with touristy shops (one of which I work part-time at), and a Wal-Mart (which I try to avoid). My husband Andy and I moved here a little less than a year ago when we moved here (from a mid-sized city) for his job. Luckily for us we have family here, because we did not know anyone here when we moved here.

I have always enjoyed crafts, cooking, and DIY and featuring my interests here is an outlet to share my ideas or share ideas of others. Since I only work part-time I have plenty of time for cooking, crafts, and coming up with ideas for DIY. I also enjoy reading books, watching movies, playing boardgames, puzzles, visiting new places, and being with family and friends. My husband and I also make handcrafted building and baby stack blocks. I support small local businesses, buy locally grown vegetables at the farmers market, and try to buy Made in the USA products.

Originally I started this blog to feature recipes for a food product I was selling, but I am no longer involved in that. Now fast forward and you find it updated to feature adult and kid friendly crafts,  easy to make recipes, DIY decorating, and anything else fun, useful, or interesting! I am not am great writer/photographer nor do I or will pretend to be a great writer/photographer. I will always do my best when sharing ideas to be clear with directions and take photos to the best of my ability.
